Ad Noiseam - Adn0096
A2: Beg remixed by Stakey
B1: Movement featuring Kes Evergreen
B2: Movement remixed by Lapsed & Nonnon
A couple of years after his remarked “Deviance” second album, London's Mothboy returns to Ad Noiseam with this
appetizer to his third full length, in the form of an energetic and bassy-as-ever EP, and brings his friends to the party.
The opening “Beg” is a perfect example of Mothboy's sense for dancefloor tunes, with its huge subbass and strong
basslines. Syncopated and addictive, it gets dirtier and more garage-oriented with a gritty remix by well known Starkey.
On the B-side, “Movement” is more of a nod toward Mothboy's persistent and acute taste in Hip Hop, as he pairs up with
New York vocalist Kes Evergreen for a fast paced, epic but playful track which mixes grime, hip-hop and, as usual with
this boy, heavy sharp basses. Ad Noiseam glitch-hop Lapsed and turntablist Nonnon finally take this song to turn it into a more intricate and breakbeat-rich track, while staying true to its original club feeling.
